LAHORE: Actress Saima has reduced 10 kg weight for her upcoming film "Wohatti Ley Ke Jani Hai". The film is directed by Syed Noor and the work on the film is underway at a local studio. Saima and Shan are playing the lead roles in the movie. Saima has reduced specially for her character in the movie, sources said. The film has fifteen songs which are currently under preparation.

LAHORE: Meera plays a pivotal role in ending up a long time misunderstanding between Sana and Javaid Sheikh. Reportedly Meera invited her two showbiz colleagues for dinner at her residence in Karachi where she settled the confusion between Javaid and Sana. According to sources Javaid Sheikh expressed his complaints with Sana and made her feel, she was wrong. Interestingly Sana accepted her mistakes but also reminded Javaid Sheikh about his faults. It is pertinent to mention that this misunderstanding between the two had started a long time ago after which Sana got engaged to actor Fakhar Imam. It would now be more interesting to see what happens after the two have reconciled.

Meanwhile Javaid Sheikh's film "Khullay Asmaan Ke Nichay" is expected to be released on July 4 while Sana is anticipating a lot for her showbiz career from the movie.

Shan to go to India

LAHORE: Shan will go to India on July 15.

According to details, famous Pakistani actor and director Shaan will move to India for the completion of post production and technical work of his film "Zill e Shah". The producer of the movie was Fiaz Khan and the cast included Saima, Noor, Asif Khan, Rahila Agha, Naghma, Mustaffa Qureshi, Babar, Shafqet Cheema and Shan himself. The film would be released on Eid-ul-Fitr.

Habib to make movie on terrorism

LAHORE: A senior actor of the film industry Habib is going to make his own film "Maan" (mother) while the film will be directed by Syed Noor.

According to details, Habib intends to make a movie on terrorism and is reported busy in the preparations for the film. The story of the film has been written by Professor Zafar Mirza. The cast will be announced soon and shooting will start in September. Talking to media Habib said the story of the film was based on patriotism and the ongoing terrorism in the country. Such kind of film was needed in the current situation, he added.

Censor Board refuses to certify Sarkari Badmash

LAHORE: Censor Board has refused to give censor certificate to movie "Sarkari Badmash" directed by Arshad Khan. Reportedly Chairman Censor Board Khalid Butt objected on the name of the film and refused to give a censor certificate. However director Arshad Khan will again submit the film to the Censor Board after changing its name, sources said. The cast of the film includes Shan, Saima, Sidra Noor, Shahid Khan, Shaftqat Cheema and others.

LAHORE: Pakistan's first music and violin academy inaugurated by famous violinist Nawaz Muhammad Iliyas Khan. The Head of NCA Sarmat Ali and Head Music Society, GCU Tariq Firani was also present at the moment. The inauguration ceremony held at Sadiq Trade Centre. The academy will offer courses in both European and Asian music notation while singing classes with notations would also be offered by the institution. Ghulam Ali Lahoti is the chairman of the academy who will also teach and provide guideline to the music students. It is pertinent to mention that Ali is a gold medalist in violin art.

LAHORE: Director Masood Butt has shot the "Dhamal" of his film "Nach Ke Yar Manana" in the studios instead of Shahbaz Qalander's Shrine. According to details Masood Butt had planned to shoot the exclusive "Dhamal" with Shan and Sana. All the preparations for recording at Sehwan Sharif were complete and the crew was about to leave when Masood Butt changed his mind and carried out the shooting within the studio. The actors were greatly disappointed to have missed the chance of visiting the shrine of the great saint. The film was speedily moving towards its completion, sources added.
